The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect / Infrastructure Architect to join our growing technology function. This is a key role within a fast-paced, enterprise environment, offering the opportunity to lead complex ICT initiatives, optimise infrastructure, and shape the organisation’s technology direction.
Based in our Parramatta office, you will play a hands-on leadership role across Microsoft 365, Azure, Networking and Cybersecurity, ensuring our platforms are secure, reliable, and future-ready.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft 365
- Lead deployment, integration, and optimisation of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Microsoft Defender
- Drive secure configuration, performance, and user adoption across the M365 suite
Network Infrastructure
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and VPN environments
- Manage firewall and network security solutions, including Fortinet/FortiGate
Azure Cloud Services
- Design, implement, and optimise Azure IaaS environments, including virtual machines, storage, and networking
- Apply best-practice approaches to cloud security, governance, and cost optimisation
Cybersecurity
- Partner with Security Engineers and Compliance teams to develop and enforce cybersecurity controls
- Conduct security assessments and audits, ensuring timely remediation of vulnerabilities
Teams Calling & Contact Centre
- Manage and support Microsoft Teams Calling functionality
- Oversee implementation and ongoing optimisation of the Genesys Cloud Contact Centre
CRM & Systems Integration
- Work closely with Development teams to ensure CRM systems integrate seamlessly with broader ICT platforms
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and solution design for CRM-related issues
Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Lead ICT project implementations from design through to delivery
- Provide expert-level support for complex or escalated technical issues when required
- Mentor junior ICT team members and promote continuous improvement
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure ICT environments comply with PCI-DSS and ISO 27001 requirements
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and contribute to Francom’s technology roadmap
Position Expectations
- Full-time role with standard business hours
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required
- On-call availability for urgent matters as needed
About You
You are a technically strong, commercially minded Architect who enjoys working in collaborative environments and taking ownership of outcomes.
You will bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in ICT engineering, infrastructure, or architecture roles
- Strong expertise across Microsoft 365, Azure, Networking, and Cybersecurity
- Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices
- Experience delivering projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Certifications highly regarded:
Azure Solutions Architect, CCNP, CISSP, Fortinet NSE4, Prince2 (or equivalent)
Desirable Experience
- Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python)
- Virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Microsoft Teams Calling and Genesys Cloud Contact Centre
- CRM platforms and enterprise integrations
- Previous experience working within an MSP environment
