The Opportunity

We are seeking a Risk Specialist to join Francom during an exciting period of growth as we continue to strengthen and mature our risk and compliance capability.
Based in our Parramatta office and reporting to the Risk & Audit Manager, this role supports the Risk & Audit function in a hands-on capacity and plays a key role in embedding risk management practices across the business. This position is well-suited to someone early in their risk career who is ready to step into a more accountable and commercially focused role.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identify, assess, and document key risks across Francom Group’s business activities
  • Maintain and update risk and issue registers, controls, and remediation actions
  • Follow up with risk owners to ensure remediation activities are completed in a timely manner
  • Support the ongoing development and enhancement of risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures
  • Work closely with Operations, Legal, IT, and Client Services to design and embed effective controls
  • Monitor key risk indicators and provide data-driven insights to support risk escalation
  • Promote and support a strong risk-aware culture across the organisation

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience or strong interest in governance, risk, and compliance within a regulated environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels
  • Confidence in presenting information and supporting risk discussions
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience using a GRC platform (e.g. risk registers, controls, issues, actions, reporting) is highly advantageous
  • Awareness of ISO 31000 or experience working within risk frameworks
  • Exposure to risk management, audit processes, or issue tracking
  • Previous experience in a coordination, analyst, or support role
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Law, or a related discipline (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
