What You Will Be Doing:
As our Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, while maintaining compliance with legislative and award requirements. You will liaise with employees and stakeholders across the business and be instrumental in streamlining payroll processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
· Process end-to-end payroll on a weekly basis across for approximately 300 employees .
· Interpret and apply relevant Awards with a focus on Banking, Finance & Insurance and Legal Services Awards.
· Maintain accurate payroll records, including leave accruals, superannuation, and tax obligations.
· Manage employee queries and provide timely, solutions-focused responses.
· Prepare and reconcile payroll-related reports (STP, PAYG, Superannuation, etc.).
· Assist with audits, compliance checks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Work collaboratively with HR, Finance, Rosters and Management to ensure payroll compliance.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
· Working knowledge of modern awards, preferably including the Banking, Finance & Insurance and/or Legal Services Awards.
· Experience using FoundU payroll system is advantageous.
· Strong understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, and superannuation requirements.
· Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to engage confidently with stakeholders.
· A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
